Abstract
Rural redevelopment, defined as a productive and institutional development transformation process within a specific rural space, rests on two interrelated pillars: productive transformation and the reform of rural institutions. Multiple cases are used to illustrate this theme, such as: the sale of fresh produce or manufactured products in local markets (Asociación Municipal de Mujeres Campesinas de Lebrila - AMMUCALE, Colombia); or to foreign external markets (the cases of QueserIas Sierra Norte - QUESINOR, and Chordeleg, in Ecuador; Cooperativa Agraria Cacaotera - ACOPAGRO, in Peru); the Guanajuato women in Mexico; the case of Las Rosquillas de Somoto (in Nicaragua and Tarija crafts, in Bolivia).
