Abstract
The report articulates the history of Brazil-Haiti cooperation and Brazilian experiences regarding participation in UN operations within the current political framework. As the poorest country of the New World, Haiti’s dilemmas are extremely complex. In light of conditions outlined in this paper, Brazil could participate in eight fields of action: internal security, socioeconomic actions, rebuilding infrastructure, health cooperation, rebuilding of the State, Brazil-Haiti brotherhood, scientific and academic cooperation and pacts for democratic guarantees and freedom.
