Abstract
The programme is designed to be an alternative model of development assistance, operating regionally, nationally, and locally and dedicated to building local institutional effectiveness in Sub-Saharan Africa. This working paper reports details on the numerous projects, programmes and courses that are underway, along with challenges facing Municipal Development Partnership (MDP) research in anchoring the research in research institutions at national levels.
