Ninth Latin American and Caribbean networking technologies workshop, Quito, Ecuador, July 24-29, 2006
Abstract
The workshops contribute to the training of technicians and professionals from Latin America and the Caribbean in Information and Communications Technologies, emphasizing hands-on aspects and new developments, like Wireless Technologies, VoIp, Network Management and IPv6. Internet specialists shared local and regional experiences for avoiding pitfalls and highlighting best-practices. Eight concurrent tracks covered different aspects of IT technologies, and five fora were organized to deal with societal impacts of IT in the region.
