Abstract
Address on the contribution of household management (home economics) to the economic development and social development of developing countries - discusses ways in which improvements in home economics can help raise the standard of living in developing countries; describes IDRC's development aid through research projects on cereal grain processing, methods of fishing and fish preservation, methods of increasing crop yields (e.g., multiple cropping), and plant breeding.
