IDRC personnel. Address on agricultural development in arid zones - discusses the technologycal feasibility of increasing agricultural production in dryland areas (i.e., need for agricultural mechanization), the economic aspects of feasibility (i.e., importance of economic motivation for innovation in cultivation practices and farming systems), and operational feasibility (i.e., need for appropriate infrastructure).
