Abstract

Updated demographic data about the Palestinian in Lebanon doesn't exist. UNRWA have registered 335.000 refugees distributed in camps in Tripoli, Beka valley, Beirut, and Saida and Tyre areas, but is estimated that a high number of unregistered Palestinian are currently living in Lebanon. Other estimations do state that the number have decreased because an undetermined number of immigration and people who have got Lebanese citizenship. Regardless 50.000 refugees more or less, it cannot be argued the magnitude of the refugee problem The mere fact that the issue is not discussed in the Oslo agreement legitimate to conclude that for the decision makers is not only a secondary problem but also that they don't know how to solve the problem. Is well documented the fact of the Lebanese political forces not accepting the possibility of establishing the Palestinian in their society because several political reasons. It is unthinkable the solution to let them back to Gaza or West Bank or a massive immigration to western countries. A continuation in the peace process don't change either the difficulty of finding a right and human solution. So, which will be the future for more than 300.000 Palestinian in Lebanon? This is the daily question for all of them.
