Abstract:
UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan visited IDRC Head Office for an informal meeting with Canadian civil society representatives and Canadian government representatives. There was a frank exchange of views between civil society representatives and the Secretary-General and some of his most senior officials. Civil society representatives urged the government of Canada to take a more proactive role on development and humanitarian issues. The presentation documents the visit, with photographs and a list of attendees.
